Student Art Expo 2025 – Art History

Art history plays an important role in our culture. Learning about it can be fun! Iconic paintings, sculptures, fashion, and artists are referenced in children’s movies, entertainment and advertisement.

Introducing art history helps children make connections to the past and the world around them. It also gives them a broader perspective of what is possible. By studying art history, children can learn about the culture(s) they come from, reflect and think about who they are, and make connections with other cultures and time periods.

Engaging with art encourages curiosity, creative thinking, and a deeper appreciation for culture and community!
