Kindergarten Readiness Programs

Mega Wonders

MEGA Wonders is a 90-minute drop-off, kids-only class at CMON, with a hands-on approach to learning through play, helping to lay a strong educational foundation for kids ages 4, 5, and 6 years old. In this class, children explore, ask and answer questions, solve problems, and interact with their peers and teachers. The 32-week program will take place from August 22, 2024 through May 16, 2025 and is limited to 16 students. It is structured with circle time, storytime, small group centers, and independent play – resembling a morning program at an early learning center.

Mini Wonders

Mini Wonders Workshops are set up to help your child become kindergarten ready. Our CMON Educators closely follow the guidelines set out by our local school districts and child development advocates to guide your young ones to practice essential skills that enable the transition from PreK or home-based learning to a formal kindergarten classroom.

Workshops take place during the school year and are free for members and $10 for all other guests. These hour long workshops take place on:

Thursdays at 10:30 am, 12:30 pm, and 3:30pm

Fridays at 10:30 am and 12:30 pm

Mini Wonders serves children 3, 4, and 5-years-old. The skills and activities presented will be specifically geared toward the developmental skills and attention span of this age range.

For the focus of our participants, only registered students and their adult helpers will be allowed in the workshop. All parents must always stay in the building.

  • Parents of single students are encouraged to stay in class and actively assist their child in learning and collect tips on how to incorporate some of the activities and skill building into their everyday life.
  • If you bring a sibling (or another child), you may leave your 3-5-year-old in class and take the sibling into the museum to play and explore. We are hoping this will give you time for some great one-on-one interaction with your other child, but also an opportunity for your Mini Wonders student to practice independence. Be sure to come back to class at 11 a.m. when the class ends to gather your little learner.
