Exceptional Night

Exceptional Night at Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (CMON) is a specially designed evening for families with children who have physical or neurological disabilities (including Autism and sensory integration differences). Exceptional Wednesdays

Exceptional Wednesdays begin on February 4

Exceptional Wednesdays are specially designed museum hours for families with children who have physical or neurological disabilities, including Autism and sensory processing differences. Held weekly from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM (Member Hour) 10:00 AM –1:00 PM, Exceptional Wednesdays provide more opportunities for families who benefit from sensory-friendly options to explore, play, and enjoy the museum in a way that feels comfortable and welcoming.

During these hours, the museum offers a calmer, more supportive environment where children can explore, play, and learn at their own pace. Lighting and sound levels are reduced, music is turned off, crowds are lighter, and designated calm/down spaces are available throughout the museum to support a positive visit.

Calm-down kits are always available by request at the front desk to help children self-regulate when experiencing big emotions.
