WHAT AGE RANGE IS APPROPRIATE?

CMON is for the young and young at heart, but specifically, we find that the museum is most engaging for children under 14 years old and their families. Each of our exhibits, experiences, and programs is designed to engage a broad range of children’s ages and interests. Our ABC Tot Lot exhibit is limited to three years (3) and younger, with their caretaker allowed.

HOW LONG DOES A VISIT TAKE?

It all depends on your child’s age and interests. First-time visitors can spend up to four hours while out-of-town guests visit several days in a row. We are a one-stop for family fun!

CAN I DROP OFF MY CHILD FOR THE DAY AND LEAVE? DO I HAVE TO BE WITH MY CHILD AT ALL TIMES?

An adult must accompany all children at all times. Unaccompanied children will be escorted to the Welcome Center until a parent or caretaker is located.

CAN I BRING OUTSIDE FOOD INTO THE MUSEUM? IS THERE FOOD AVAILABLE?

We ask that visitors keep all outside food and drink in closed containers when visiting the museum. The Museum Store does have a small selection of snacks and beverages available for purchase.  There are tables available outside the front of the building for visitors to use to sit and enjoy their food.

Yes, a small space is near the museum store to park strollers. Please take any valuables with you, as this area is not monitored by the CMON team. Visitors may also store items in the lockers beside the elevator.

The task(s) performed by the animal must be directly related to the person’s disability. Emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals are not service animals and are not permitted inside the Museum.
