NAPLES, Florida (June 7, 2022) – The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples will host its second annual golf scramble fundraiser on Friday, October 14, to benefit the museum’s mission to provide an exciting, inspiring environment where children and their families play, learn, and dream together.

This year’s event will be held at Club Pelican Bay’s private championship golf course. Club Pelican Bay has been certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary since 2016 and won 2015 Florida Golf Course of Year from Celebration Bermudagrass.

This year’s presenting sponsor for the tournament is global cancer care specialist, GenesisCare. “We at GenesisCare are passionate about our patients and communities,” said Tara McCoy, West Florida Division Executive of GenesisCare. “As a global organization that also offers high-quality care close to home, including locations throughout West Florida, we care about our children in the community. GenesisCare is proud to partner with the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (CMON) for their annual event.”

Tournament check in and lunch will begin at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start to follow at 1 p.m. Following golf, the event will conclude with a reception and awards. About the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (CMON)
The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples is a brain-building powerhouse and Southwest Florida’s first museum devoted for children and families to learn through play. With hands-on exhibit galleries, the accessible museum invites visitors of all ages to journey through the swamps of the Everglades, weave through a maze, climb a two-story banyan tree, or experiment with the water play station. Children can become a weather forecaster, a farmer, a chef, a fisherman, an artist, an architect or a veterinarian; explore the cold of an igloo, the whoosh of the wind, the sound of the sea, and the effects of gravity. Throughout the day special activities encourage our guests to get involved, try something new and be energized. CMON offers a variety of interactive exhibits providing kids with education, play, learning, science, technology, engineering, inventions, space exploration, art, math, storybooks, creation, building, sensory, and child development.
