DESCRIPTION:Is your elementary age artist eager for an engaging and elevated art experience? Look no further than CMON’s (remove “new”) Art Workshops to explore new artists\, mediums\, techniques\, materials\, and genres. All classes will challenge the creator with more focused and detailed creations from impressionism to modern art. Each class will include a take-home frameable piece of art.  \nClasses are 60 minutes on Fridays from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. \nThe program takes place during the school year. \nThe fee is $5 for CMON members and $10 for all other guests.\nGuests who are not yet members will need to pay for admission to the museum and the program fee.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on Fridays for Homeschool Workshops\, designed for students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade! These 45-minute hands-on programs foster curiosity and discovery in support of what students are learning at home. There will also be a special time to focus on social and emotional learning too! \nWorkshops are 45 minutes on Fridays from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m.  \nProgram is free for CMON members or $10 guests to the museum.\nGuests who are not yet members\, will need to pay for admission to the museum and the program fee. \nUpcoming Dates and Themes: \nDecember 5\, 12 | Themes: Energy and Coding \nTo allow for participants to focus\, only registered students and their adult helpers will be allowed in the workshop. Due to the popularity of Home School Workshops\, failure to attend two consecutive classes will result in removal from future registered workshops. Please contact education@cmon.org if you are unable to attend class.

SUMMARY:Music & Movement: Grown-up and Me
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is an expressive art program perfected to work through 45 minutes of music and movement while refining foundational tools like empowered movement\, attunement\, positive social engagement\, and safety building. Built on the foundation of collaboratively navigating self-esteem\, self-regulation\, and social empathy. Children ages 0-5  must attend with a parent/guardian who will participate in class alongside the child.  \nClasses are 45 minutes on Mondays from 9:30 – 10:15 a.m. \nProgram takes place during the school year and are $5 for CMON members and $10 for all other guests.\nGuests who are not yet members\, will need to pay for admission to the museum and the program fee.

DESCRIPTION:Mini Wonders Workshops are set up to help your child become kindergarten ready. Our CMON Educators closely follow the guidelines set out by our local school districts and child development advocates to guide your young ones to practice essential skills that enable the transition from PreK or home-based learning to a formal kindergarten classroom. \nMini Wonders serves children 3\, 4\, and 5-years-old. The skills and activities presented will be specifically geared toward the developmental skills and attention span of this age range. \nProgram takes place during the school year and are free for CMON members and $10 for all other guests.\nGuests who are not yet members\, will need to pay for admission to the museum and the program fee. \nThese hour long workshops take place on: \n\nTuesdays at 9:30 a.m. (CMON member exclusive class) and 12:30 p.m.\nThursdays at 9:30 a.m. (CMON member exclusive class) and 12:30 p.m.\n\nTo allow for participants to focus\, only registered students and their adult helpers will be allowed in the workshop.
