NAPLES, Florida (November 15, 2022) – Enjoy the wonders of the winter season at Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (CMON) at the newest exhibit: Winter Wonderland. CMON invites guests to experience frosty family fun while learning about seasons, geography, engineering, and more! Winter Wonderland debuts November 19, 2022 and will run through January 2, 2023.
Winter Wonderland includes highly interactive exhibits such as, CMON On Ice, Gingerbread Village, Santa’s Workshop, and World Café: Winter Wonderland. CMON on Ice invites everyone to slip off their sneakers and skate the day away on a special sock ‘ice’ skating rink. Visitors can travel to the Gingerbread Village and experience gingerbread playhouses as well as serving stations for pretend cookies and hot cocoa. Explore Santa’s Workshop and help the season’s busiest of toymakers by using problem-solving and testing skills to interchange, create, and imagine new toy designs. In the World Café: Winter Wonderland, make pretend meals from Nordic countries of Norway, Poland, Sweden, and Switzerland and learn about these countries through artifacts, scents, and photographs.
“It is exciting to welcome Winter Wonderland as a set of winter-themed exhibits curated and constructed by our CMON Exhibits Team,” said CMON’s Chief Operations Officer, Bonnie Thayer. “Through imaginative play, we hope our visitors will get to enjoy a taste of winter in Southwest Florida by engaging in multi-sensory experiences, learning about the winter traditions of different countries, and practicing their gross motor skills while sock skating!”
Winter Wonderland debuts on November 19, 2022, but not before an exclusive member preview event the night before. This special event will feature a hot chocolate and milk chocolate bar, custom CMON snowflake ornaments to take home and decorate, and appearances by winter-themed characters. Become a CMON member today to attend this special member-only event and many others like this throughout the year.
The public is invited to experience Winter Wonderland, which is included with regular museum admission starting November 19, 2022. CMON will offer extended hours from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on these select dates for guests to continue the fun at the same general museum admission prices.

About the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (CMON)
The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples is a brain-building powerhouse and Southwest Florida’s first museum devoted for children and families to learn through play. With hands-on exhibit galleries, the accessible museum invites visitors of all ages to journey through the swamps of the Everglades, weave through a maze, climb a two-story banyan tree, or experiment with the water play station. Children can become a weather forecaster, a farmer, a chef, a fisherman, an artist, an architect or a veterinarian; explore the cold of an igloo, the whoosh of the wind, the sound of the sea, and the effects of gravity. Throughout the day special activities encourage our guests to get involved, try something new and be energized. CMON offers a variety of interactive exhibits providing kids with education, play, learning, science, technology, engineering, inventions, space exploration, art, math, storybooks, creation, building, sensory, and child development.
