Naples, FL (5/2/20203) –The Pigeon Comes to Naples! A Mo Willems Exhibit makes its debut on May 27, 2023 at the Children’s Museum of Naples. Co-organized by Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh and The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, the exhibit is inspired by the art and characters of the beloved children’s book author and illustrator, Mo Willems.
April 27, 2023 – The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (CMON) announces two new appointments to the Board of Directors – Laura Alexander and Jason Grabowski.
April 10, 2023 – The American Alliance of Museums (AAM), the only organization representing the entire scope of the museum community, recently selected a new cohort of 79 museums to participate in its 2023 Museum Assessment Program, including CMON.
April 4, 2023 – CMON launched the Access for All membership as a part of CMON’s Access for All initiative on April 1, 2023. CMON’s Access for All initiative aims to provide access to the museum and our mission to all children in the community, regardless of their physical limitations, living arrangements, or financial status.
March 7, 2023 – CMON is bringing back the highly anticipated fundraising event, Backyard Bash, on Saturday, April 1 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the museum. This year’s event is proudly sponsored by Ave Maria Development and proceeds will benefit CMON’s access-for-all program, which provides museum admission for over 8,000 families.
February 22, 2023 – CMON and FGCU are concluding the third installment of their co-created Shine On workshops, which began in January. This session includes a partnership with teachers and students from Child’s Path early learning centers and will continue with their fourth installment starting in March.
February 9, 2023 – CMON raised more than $1 million at its annual fundraising gala, Night at the Museum, to support the museum’s mission to provide an exciting, inspiring environment where children and their families play, learn, and dream together.
February 7, 2023 – The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (CMON) opens its newest exhibit, Inventioneer’s Lab: Woodworking. Located on the second level of the museum, Woodworking is open for children and their families to enjoy now through July.
January 18, 2023– From Bollywood to the Taj Mahal, and from riding a tuk tuk to enjoying the unique scents of popular Indian spices, visitors at The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples will soon have the opportunity to experience the wonders of India, a country rich in colorful traditions with a focus on the future.
