C'mon's board of directors works as a single entity, and its heartbeat is the museum's founder, Allyson Loos. She was moved to create a children's museum in honor of her daughter, Bianca, who died in 1999 at age 13 months after a brief illness. Ms. Loos's experience deepened her appreciation of time spent with children, and was the guiding force behind the creation of C'mon's vision, which states that "it is a privilege to share life with a child." C'mon, she says, is "a celebration of childhood." After moving to Naples from Connecticut with her husband, John, and son Benjamin, she pursued her dream of a children's museum and helped establish C'mon's board of directors. Allyson Loos was born in Pittsburgh and raised in Lancaster. She studied child psychology at the University of Connecticut before assisting as a teacher in a pre-school.
