Yes. Your Birthday Buddy/Host will build in approximately 20-30 minutes for food and cake time during your party.
You can bring a cake but no other outside food or beverage is allowed. Be sure to check below for our details birthday party Add-Ons for cupcake options from Grace and Shelly’s cupcakes. Please bring all birthday party items through the school entrance for your convenience. For safety we ask for only flameless candles at your C’mon party
With the exception of your birthday cake, no food or beverages may be brought into the Museum. The Special Events Coordinator can work with you and Wynns to discuss your food options in advance of your party.
Food orders must be received by the Special Event Coordinator no later than two (2) weeks prior to your scheduled party. Any food orders received after that time will not be guaranteed. Every effort will be made to accommodate late requests.
We always want to be prepared at C’mon and like to follow the lead of the children. If the group is perfectly content spending 30 minutes or more doing one craft, we may allow them to keep going and enjoy themselves. Likewise if a group only wants to spend 10 minutes on an activity, we’ll accommodate. Generally we will allow 20-30 minutes for the activity, 30 minutes of your party time for food cake, 10-15 minutes for greeting/social time at the beginning and end of the party. Please let your Birthday Buddy/Host know if you plan to open presents at your party, as that takes time as well.
We want you to be able to have a fun and relaxing party, too! But, at the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples we believe in family interaction! While the Birthday Buddy might seem to be running the show, please remember that we will always defer to a parent for behavior correction, timing, etc. Additionally, with very young children, we will often ask for parents to help with crafts and games. Trust us, you’ll have fun too!
Both Birthday Party Hosts and Buddies are trained staff or volunteers for C’mon Parties. All staff and volunteers have passed background checks, have been finger printed and are trained by the Special Events Coordinator.
Birthday Buddies are more interactive then Birthday Hosts and Hostesses. Birthday Buddies lead activities, help with cake/cupcakes, and decorate for your party. The Birthday Buddy will help keep your party on schedule, and will prepare the group to go into the Museum at the end of your party. At the close of your party the Birthday Buddy will also assist with collecting all presents, leftover food, and any supplies your party brought and place them on a cart for your car.
Birthday Party Host or Hostess oversees your birthday party and will assist your 15 minutes of set up and clean up. They will also assist you with any of your questions about the Museum. They are not additional chaperones for your party but additional help.
Yes, parents may visit the Museum with other children at their own cost or with their membership while another sibling joins your party. Only the 30 guests on your guest list will be able to participate in the party room. Please note: that the same rules apply as above for dropping off a child. Also note that parents may not enter the Museum without children during a party, as adults are required to be accompanied by a child for admission.
