What a difference a year makes! Since breaking ground last year, the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples has literally grown from the ground up and is building the momentum to open in 2011!
On behalf of the C’mon Board, Campaign Committee, Guild and staff, I extend our sincerest appreciation to B. Thomas Golisano for his extraordinary campaign challenge grant of $5 million.
We’re so proud that the Museum is shaping up to be the community landmark we’ve all dreamt of! Over the summer the exterior of the building, from the siding, windows, doors, sidewalks and landscaping will be completed and then interior exhibit fabrication will begin.
We’ve had tremendous success this year with our “Museum Without Walls” outreach programs, thanks to the grant support from the Comcast Foundation and our partnership with WGCU Public Media. Since June 2009, we’ve reached more than 6,500 children throughout Southwest Florida with our free programs!
While much has been accomplished over the past year and we are thankful to our many donors, we still need your support. There are more opportunities to help bring the campaign to completion by taking part in Mr. Golisano’s challenge.
